About R|6.0
R|6.0 is an intense 10 week program designed to build participants’ capacity to grow their practice, gain visibility, understand their value and context, identify new markets, and position themselves as Southeast Queensland’s next creative leaders. Each week, participants focus on a specific aspect of their practice building towards a public showcase where they pitch their practice to industry, government and business.
Unique in Australia, the program supports the development of entrepreneurial knowledge and skills in the context of the arts and creative industries. It delivers a transformative experience for participants through targeted workshops, mentorship and community building, and contributes to their success as adaptive and resilient practitioners equipped to engage with a dynamic market.
R|6.0 is committed to the development of First Nations enterprise as well as respectful and equitable collaboration between First Nations and non-Indigenous creatives. First Nations participants are supported by First Nations mentors and under the leadership of Kabi Kabi (Gubbi Gubbi) Elder-in-Residence, Aunty Helena Gulash, First Nations participants engage in discussions culturally relevant to First Nations business.
10 week program: 3 June – 20 August 2024
